Collaboration Over Competition: The New Era of Women’s Success
🚫 The Old Way: Competition.
✅ The New Way: Collaboration.
Back in my corporate days, there was this unspoken rule among women: If I wanted to get ahead, I had to make sure another woman didn’t.
Keep your knowledge to yourself.
Play the game.
If you get promoted, someone else has to lose.
It was exhausting. It was toxic. And thank goodness, it’s OVER.
Earlier this month I attended The Women 360 event hosted by Heather Ferrari at Kiln in Gilbert, and let me tell you—it was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come.
Women weren’t competing.
Women weren’t undercutting.
Women weren’t gatekeeping.
They were lifting each other up, making connections, and creating opportunities.
I had the absolute pleasure of reconnecting with Gina Smith and Karen Jones, two brilliant, supportive women I admire. And of course, I met up with my friend Tisha Marie Peltier, who embodies the spirit of collaboration and community.
💡THIS is what Women’s Month is about.
💡THIS is how we rise—together.
💡THIS is the future of women in business.
Gone are the days of "there’s only room for one."
Gone are the days of "I have to dim your light to shine."
Gone are the days of "If I help you, it hurts me."
The reality?
When one woman succeeds, it paves the way for others.
Collaboration is more powerful than competition.
We ALL win when we support each other.
If you’re still holding onto the old way of doing things, it’s time to let it go. There’s a new way, and it’s working.
Tell me—have you ever experienced the old way of competition? And how have you embraced the new way of collaboration? Let’s celebrate the shift below!
