Marketing is like making cookies, you do it in batches (or least the smart ones do)

No legitimate baker ever says, “Let me make 6 cookies.” Let’s be real, it’s a process to make cookies. You gather ingredients, mix them up, roll them out, bake them and decorate them.  This takes hours to complete. Think of your marketing like baking cookies. You don’t write one post at a time, you BATCH IT!

Not enough time for marketing? Then you’re doing it all wrong.

Here are some easy tips to help you stay ahead of the game.

  1. Open a Google doc titled Content Ideas

    a. Use this instead of post-it notes every time you get an idea

  2. Create THEME buckets for your marketing content

    a. I use the following “buckets”

    i. Inspirational

    ii. Educational

    iii. Entertainment/Personal

  3. Get a scheduling tool to put it all into and crank it out

    a. Promo Republic (Post ideas, graphic editor and more)

    b. Agorapulse (

    c. LinkedIn Native Scheduler (new feature rolling out)

ProTip: Leave room in your content calendar to go off the cuff, like when you have a lightbulb moment and just need to share it, or when you attend an amazing event.
