How to increase attendance at your events
Want an easy way to invite people to your event?
Doesn’t matter if it’s an online or in person event (those will make a come back..right?)
Create it on LinkedIn like I did for my Masterclass Series: LinkedIn Remastered.
It’s like I’m an event Ninja!
Okay, so you’re like “Yeah, I’ve done that before Mary. I created an event on LinkedIn to increase attendance, but it didn’t really work that well.”
Did you email everyone that signed up for your event?
What’s that? You don’t know all their addresses? No problem, LinkedIn will give them too you!
Well, sorta, kinda…
They will if you use the auto-fill form...
“They'll see a form that's automatically pre-filled with their name and email addresses from their LinkedIn profile data. This allows members to submit the registration form to Event organizers without having to manually type in the requested details.”
The beauty of this is that you can download the attendee registration and then add them to your email provider and viola!~ you can send them updates on the event!

Oh and if you are hosting an event with speakers, ask them to invite their connections via the LinkedIn event. They can invite up to 1000 connections per week!
So let’s say you have 10 speakers and they each invite 1000 and you invite 1000 that’s 11000 invites that just got sent out! We find that the acceptance rate is between 5-10%, and remember this is FREE, it costs you nothing to invite your connections to your event.
