🎯 LinkedIn Banner Tips: Ditch the Redundant Photos!

Let’s talk about a LinkedIn profile trend that’s popping up everywhere—and not in a good way. Lately, I’ve seen people uploading a photo of themselves in their LinkedIn banner. 👀 Here’s the thing: your profile photo is right below the banner. Why repeat yourself?

Now, there’s one exception where this might make sense: If you’re a speaker or aiming to land more speaking gigs, a photo of you on stage, addressing an audience, can reinforce your credibility. That’s a power move. 💡

But for most people, here’s the truth:
Your LinkedIn banner is prime real estate. You’ve got 6 seconds—tops—to grab someone’s attention and communicate your value.  And for petes sake don’t put your logo there. You know who cares about your logo? The person who designed it and you.

That banner space should do the heavy lifting for your brand:

✅ Showcase your expertise
✅ Highlight your unique value proposition
✅ Include a clear call-to-action (grab my freebie, join my event, etc.)
✅ Make it visually appealing and on-brand

Pro Tip: Use those cute or professional photos of yourself in your content, not your banner. That’s where personality and connection shine. Your banner should be a billboard for what you offer, not just another photo of you.

💭 Quick Question: What does your banner say about you? If it’s not crystal clear, it might be time for a refresh.
